PETR ŠTĚPÁNEK

When Peter was 10 years old, he discovered the beauty of analog photography and the whole process of its life from taking a photo to developing it. Who really knows in childhood what they want to do in the future? A few years have passed. Technology advanced and he had his first DSLR in his hand. He was interested in technical things from an early age. All. From small electronics to computers. His technical interest naturally grew and he began to focus more and more on photography. Without thinking. Instinctively.

In high school, he mainly focused on studying sound. Although he had almost no knowledge of professional filmmaking, he started acquiring the first technical equipment then. As an active athlete, he was involved in several types of sports. Movement in all forms. Faster the better. In freestyle skiing, he combined both. He put the photo down and started to shoot his first videos.

The basis of really good shots that capture dynamic movement is camera stabilization. Petr wanted to figure out how it was all done. The first drones arrived, and soon after he bought a simpler steadicam. It’s all about practice. He devoted practically everything to it.

You probably already understand where Peter’s story is going. Another real milestone on his journey was when he first stepped onto a film set. The beginning of a story so great that it continues to this day. New gadgets that he had to have and thus the fund of film technology at his home grew and grew. Studying at the Písek film school. New knowledge and experience. All in over the head. More and more.

Remember Covid? How the world stopped? One question haunted almost all of us in the sudden vacuum? What now? Petr used all his space, capital and time for the future. He built a studio in Strašnice, Prague. He combined everything you’ve read in the previous lines and much more for projects that represent the next evolutionary step for him. He created a full-fledged place for post-production and for everyone around him. A team that outgrows him with its possibilities. Hej Rup for the future.

KRISTÝNA RUDOLFOVÁ

She loved film and art even as a child. That is why she decided to study art history with a link to cultural management. However, her first adult steps, before the film, led to the path of theater production. However, her hobby became cooperation at film festivals (Brněnská 16, Mezipatra, FIMU Film Festival), where she tried to be a volunteer coordinator, a PR manager or a festival coordinator herself. She taught university students how to build a festival from the ground up. She established cooperation with the cinema and started organizing her film quizzes with her friends. She gradually abandoned the theater and began to focus more and more on film production.

The springboard for her was an internship in the then expanding production, which definitively launched her career as a production coordinator. A long-term cooperation with Czech Television came along, which helped to direct her further and gain further experience with both Czech and foreign productions. From the ground up, she began to get to know the work of individual departments, so that she could then best respond to their requirements as a production manager. Even nowadays, she likes to jump away from working at the computer to the playground. The film industry is a living organism that is constantly growing and developing, so it is necessary to keep an overview and, above all, not to be left behind.

TOMÁŠ SVĚRÁK

Is a long-time friend of Peter. He has many years of experience in film shooting. Tomáš specializes in all film technology. Thanks to all his work so far and his sense of order, our warehouse is always in excellent condition.

STANISLAV KOPÁČEK

Post-production is a complex process. Stanislav is one of the best post-production managers we know. He manages to coordinate everything so that everything flows smoothly without unnecessary difficulties and problems. Thanks to his foresight and experience, all people who specialize in post-production have enough space, time and freedom to do their best.

MARTIN VÍTEK

He always enjoyed technology. From the beginning of his camera studies at the Píseck Film School, he was fascinated by working with lights. It later became his lifelong passion. When faced with something seemingly impossible, Martin is your man. How to light up all spaces and subdue places where traditional lighting gives up, that’s his.

ESTER ARNAUTOVÁ

Ester comes from a family of filmmakers. Her mother is a costume designer and father is a gaffer. Both are known for working on an incredible number of major film projects. They passed on all their knowledge and experience to Ester, who naturally follows in their footsteps in a certain way. She first started with lighting, then tried her hand at costume design, and now she directs and manages the set. In the last two years, she has made several successful short films.

MAREK PILGER

He got into sound already in primary school. He organized “discos” and repaired old equipment from his father. When he was deciding what he wanted to study, right after the conservatory, he had the field of electronics mechanics on his list. At that time, he was already in a band (which still sticks with him today). Simple equation and an even simpler decision. On every project, he tries his best to record the best sound.

KRYŠTOF KOTÍK

He mainly specializes in writing and storyboarding. What he invents and writes, he is able to draw. Everyone understands words differently. Especially people who work with visual content. They mainly communicate visually. Kryštof adapted to them, so he tries to draw and paint everything really thoroughly. He firmly believes that visual materials provoke constructive dialogues. He constantly tries to understand everything, study and be ready for everything. So far, he’s doing well without sounding like a nerd.
